A tragic accident occurred late Saturday afternoon in Parsberg (Neumarkt district). A 16-year-old motorcyclist from the Regensburg district lost his life in the accident.

According to the police, the accident happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. A 72-year-old woman from the Neumarkt district was turning left from Kiesweg into Bahnhofstraße with her car. At the same time, the 16-year-old motorcyclist, along with his passenger of the same age, was coming out of the roundabout from Hohenfelser Straße onto Bahnhofstraße. The motorcyclist managed to avoid a collision with the woman’s car. However, during the evasive maneuver, he collided with a lamppost at the side of the road.

The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to the motorcyclist, leading to his unfortunate death shortly after being taken to the hospital, as reported by the police. The passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident. Bahnhofstraße in Parsberg was closed for approximately three hours during the investigation of the accident. An expert was called to the scene to examine the sequence of events leading to the accident.
