Jesper Soerensen, the newly appointed General Manager of 25hours Hotel The Oddbird Jakarta, is excited to bring his extensive experience in lifestyle and luxury gastronomy to Indonesia. With over 23 years of experience working in various locations around the world, including Nicaragua, London, Miami, and the Maldives, Soerensen is well-equipped to lead this new project in Jakarta’s hotel scene.
The 25hours Hotel The Oddbird Jakarta is located in the heart of the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) in District 8, above the Ashta shopping center in the Senopati district. The hotel aims to offer a unique experience inspired by the history and culture of the neighborhood, which was once planned as a garden city with its own Jengki evolution, a modernist architectural style in post-war Indonesia.
The hotel features 206 rooms, 130 serviced apartments, eleven meeting rooms, and a ballroom spread across 38 floors. The design of the hotel reflects the neighborhood’s history, with lush garden and urban retro rooms furnished with original mid-century vintage furniture and curated local and international art pieces. The hotel also offers co-working spaces with a Maxi-Bar and individually designed meeting rooms.
In addition to the unique design, the hotel boasts a spa called „Vida“ for a peaceful retreat and comprehensive wellness offerings. The restaurant, Copa, serves Latin American delicacies prepared by Chef Matias Mardones from Chile. The Oddbird Bar, led by Marcello Monte from Argentina, offers cocktails, while the Cabana by the pool serves plant-based cuisine curated by Andrew Yap, the Director of Food & Beverage at the hotel.
General Manager Jesper Soerensen envisions the hotel as a place for holistic experiences, catering to both business travelers and tourists. The hotel focuses on partnerships, wellness, and group activities to create a welcoming space for everyone. Soerensen emphasizes that the hotel aims to welcome every „Oddbird,“ providing a place where everyone can be themselves.
Looking ahead, the hotel plans to introduce two exciting concepts in the first quarter of 2025 to enhance the guest experience. With a commitment to offering a unique and inclusive environment, 25hours Hotel The Oddbird Jakarta aims to be a home away from home for all guests.
