Sam Heughan Plans to Woo Taylor Swift Away from Travis Kelce at Concert
In a surprising turn of events, Outlander actor Sam Heughan (44) has set his sights on competing with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce (34) for the affections of pop sensation Taylor Swift (34). Heughan is scheduled to attend Swift’s „The Eras“ tour in Edinburgh and has revealed his grand plans for the evening. In a lighthearted Instagram clip, he jokingly claims, „She obviously doesn’t know it yet, but when she comes to Scotland and sees me in the audience, she will forget all about him and fall in love with a man in a red wig. How could she resist? She will shake him off and go out with me instead. I’m really excited.“
Kelce himself had initially hoped to win over Taylor during her „The Eras“ tour. The football player attended one of her concerts in the summer of 2023 with the intention of gifting her a homemade friendship bracelet, complete with his phone number inscribed on it. „I was disappointed that she doesn’t speak before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings. So, I was a little upset that I couldn’t give her one of the bracelets I had made for her,“ he shared on his „New Heights“ podcast at the time.
It was ultimately Patrick Mahomes (28) who played a pivotal role in bringing Kelce and Swift together. „I’ll gladly take some of the credit. I was the one who invited Travis to the first Taylor concert when the plan with the friendship bracelet was hatched,“ the NFL star revealed on „The Pat McAfee Show.“ The Kansas City Chiefs players spent the evening together in Mahomes‘ suite at the concert, where Patrick allegedly encouraged Travis: „I feel like I’m the matchmaker, I contributed to it as well. I told him, ‚Dude, you should just do it. Just go for it!'“
As speculation swirls around Heughan’s bold intentions, it remains to be seen how the evening at Taylor Swift’s concert will unfold. Will his playful remarks turn into reality, or will Travis Kelce continue to hold Taylor’s heart? Only time will tell.
