In the government’s strategy was three years ago and a zero tolerance towards fatalities in the workplace. However, what few people know is that it will still die, on average, one person a week in the Swedish workplace. On behalf of the government, the work environment authority has analysed the occupational accidents with a fatal outcome, which occurred in the year 2018, and for the first half of the year 2019. In total, occurred 82 fatal accidents during the period, of which 9 were related to foreign workers in Sweden.

The worst affected sectors are construction, transport, storage and communication, agriculture and forestry. It is the most common scenario is that the deaths are occurring in the context of road traffic accidents, falls from height, working with vehicles and machinery such as the unloading of the goods, or that any one can become trapped or struck by other objects.

We are also working with our inspections are looking at all the jobs.
