The legendary Finnish rock band The Rasmus is making a comeback with a bang! After nearly 30 years of band history and countless successes, the alternative rock icons have signed a new record deal with Better Noise Music and are presenting us with the brand new single „Rest In Pieces“ as a first taste. In addition, the official lyric video is available on YouTube – a must-see for all fans who want to experience the first impression of this powerful new song up close. But that’s not all: The band, fronted by Lauri Ylönen, will kick off a comprehensive world tour in 2025, which will also include stops in Germany and Austria.
The song „Rest In Pieces“ brings a new, harder, and darker edge to the band’s sound, marking The Rasmus‘ first musical sign of life this year. Alongside indie label Playground Music, Better Noise Music will release the band’s music, promising not only a fresh musical direction but also an expanded international reach for the Finnish rockers. Lars Tengroth, A&R man at Playground Music, describes the new material as more intense and mature than previous songs, highlighting the band’s long-standing development and willingness to experiment.
Dan Waite, CEO of Better Noise Music, is also excited about the collaboration: „The Rasmus is a band that evokes a very warm and positive reaction from everyone we talk to. We can’t wait for people to see what they have planned for 2025.“ The fresh single „Rest In Pieces“ is sure to further fuel fans‘ expectations.
