In the time between Monday, 10:30 pm and Tuesday, 6:40 am, a VW bus and a Mitsubishi were stolen from a courtyard of a property on Friedrichstraße in Bischweier. The thieves apparently gained access through a door to an office building, where they took the keys to the two cars. Four people were seen running in different directions from the vehicle. During a search by several police patrols, two from the group were located at the train station in Kuppenheim and temporarily arrested. The car thieves, aged 16 and 17, were handed over to their parents after the police measures were completed. Two more teenagers are also believed to have been involved in the theft.

The officers of the Rastatt Criminal Investigation Department have begun their investigations and are now looking for witnesses, especially motorists who were endangered by the driving behavior. If you have any information, please contact the investigators at 07222 761-300.
