The Rotjacken have secured a defenseman and a forward for another year at the club. Tobias Sablattnig and Daniel Obersteiner will be back on the ice for KAC next season. Sablattnig, 21, has been a part of the Rotjacken since childhood, going through all the youth department stages before making his debut in the senior team in November 2021. Last year, the defender became a regular player, playing 51 games until he suffered an upper body injury in the quarter-final series against Pioneers Vorarlberg, forcing him to end the season prematurely. Sablattnig scored five goals and assists each with a plus/minus balance of +23. Similarly, Obersteiner has spent his entire career in Klagenfurt. Making his professional debut at the age of 17 in November 2015, the 26-year-old forward was slowed down by two serious injuries over the past two years, which have now healed. Obersteiner returned to KAC’s lineup in early February and has played 269 competitive matches for his club, collecting 63 points (23 goals, 40 assists). The current roster for 2024/25 includes goalkeepers Sebastian Dahm, Patrick Müller, and Florian Vorauer, defenders Jesper Jensen Aabo, Thomas Klassek, David Maier, Thimo Nickl, Maximilian Preiml, Tobias Sablattnig, Steven Strong, and Clemens Unterweger, as well as forwards Johannes Bischofberger, Matt Fraser, Mathias From, Luka Gomboc, Raphael Herburger, Fabian Hochegger, Thomas Hundertpfund, Jan Muršak, Daniel Obersteiner, Nick Pastujov, Senna Peeters, Simeon Schwinger, and Finn van Ee. Departures from the team include Paul Postma, Thomas Vallant, Manuel Ganahl, Lukas Haudum, and Marcel Witting.
