Google recently unveiled its latest accessories, the Pixel Watch 3 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2, at its Pixel Launch Event. The Pixel Watch 3 comes in two different sizes, with a 41-millimeter diameter and a larger 45-millimeter diameter. It features slimmer display borders and a brighter OLED screen with up to 2000 cd/m².
The Pixel Buds 2 Pro also received updates, including a redesigned case with rotatable stabilizers and a new Google Tensor processor that promises longer battery life. Google also claims to have improved noise cancellation on the Pixel Buds Pro 2.
The Pixel Watch 3 maintains the sleek design of its predecessors, with rounded edges, aluminum casing, and a prominent crown on the right side. The 45-millimeter version requires new bands, as the previous ones are only compatible with the 41-millimeter model. The watch is water-resistant up to 5 ATM and IP68-rated for dust and water resistance.
Featuring Wear OS 5, the Pixel Watch 3 offers changes to watch faces, more energy-efficient tracking, and support for new data types for tracking exercises like stride length. The new OLED display is significantly brighter, more responsive, and offers customizable refresh rates ranging from 1 to 60 Hz.
The smaller version of the Pixel Watch 3 boasts a 10% larger display area, while the 45-mm version promises 40% more display area. Both models run on a Qualcomm SW5100 processor, with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Despite the larger battery in the 45-mm model, both watches offer up to 24 hours of battery life with the Always-on Display and 36 hours in power-saving mode.
The Pixel Watch 3 supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and optional LTE for both sizes. It also features UWB for easier device tracking. The prices start at 399 Euros for the 41-mm Wi-Fi model and 449 Euros for the 45-mm version, with an additional 100 Euros for LTE variants.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 also received updates, including rotatable stabilizers for better fit, a smaller and lighter design, and a new Tensor A1 chip for improved battery life. The ANC is enhanced, filtering out more background noise, and the earbuds are available in four colors for 249 Euros.
Overall, Google’s latest accessories offer improved features, enhanced performance, and stylish designs for tech-savvy consumers looking for the latest wearable technology.
