ZDF Brings Back „Die Bergretter“ to TV Lineup Following Lena Lorenz Finale

After the finale of the new episodes of „Lena Lorenz,“ ZDF is now showing the series „Die Bergretter“ in their TV program. The popular Thursday primetime slot at 8:15 pm on ZDF is highly sought after. Normally, the public broadcaster gives this slot to long-running series like „Der Bergdoktor,“ where filming for Season 18 is already underway. Recently, viewers enjoyed new episodes of „Lena Lorenz.“ In the coming weeks, ZDF will have a changing lineup.

On May 23, there will be an unusual programming change on ZDF. Instead of one of the popular series, the film „Men in Black: International“ is scheduled for 8:15 pm. A week later, on May 30, the schedule will change due to the upcoming European elections.

In the program „How’s Europe Doing? The Big Candidate Check,“ six candidates will present six different political concepts for the European elections. The talk show, hosted by the well-known ZDF heute journal moderators Dunja Hayali and Mitri Sirin, will last 90 minutes.

The Thursday evenings in June will be filled with action and suspense. Both on June 6 and June 13, „Die Bergretter“ will return to the nation’s TV screens. However, since filming for the new episodes of the ZDF series „Die Bergretter“ is still ongoing, there will be a weekly repeat on Thursdays at 8:15 pm.

On June 6, the episode „Fourteen Steps,“ first aired in 2021, will be shown. The slot on June 13 at 8:15 pm is reserved for the episode „Sound of Memory.“ In line with the 2024 European Championship in Germany, ZDF will broadcast the group stage match between Spain and Italy on June 20. However, the broadcast will start at 8 pm, with kick-off at 9 pm.

For June 27, another repeat of the popular ZDF series „Die Bergretter“ is scheduled. This time, the episode „Scorched Earth“ from 2021 will be shown. Viewers who miss the broadcast or want to rewatch can watch some episodes for free on the ZDF Mediathek from previous seasons.

The filming for Season 16 of „Die Bergretter“ is currently underway in Austria and is expected to continue until July 2024. Fans can look forward to five new episodes once they are ready to be aired on TV.
