ZDF Chief Responds to Why Missing Arian Case is Not Featured on „Aktenzeichen XY“
For over six weeks, six-year-old Arian from Bremervörde has been missing. Despite an extensive search with hundreds of volunteers, a special investigation team is now handling the case. Surprisingly, the popular ZDF show „Aktenzeichen XY… Ungelöst“ has not been utilized by investigators, even though past cases have been solved through the show’s witness appeals.
In an interview with the local newspaper „Kreiszeitung,“ the editor-in-chief of the show, Ina-Maria Reize-Wildemann, stated that the case of the missing boy has not been considered by the ZDF editorial team. However, she mentioned that if the police request their assistance in the future, they would be willing to help.
The police spokesperson of the district, Heiner van der Werp, mentioned to „Bild“ that presenting the case on the ZDF show has been considered since the beginning of the investigation. Currently, the focus is on thoroughly analyzing all leads received. The investigation team is prioritizing processing existing information over receiving new tips, as the deadline for their work is set until the end of June.
Meanwhile, an autism expert has speculated on the possible reason for Arian’s disappearance. It is noted that one of Arian’s family rituals involves watching TV together in the evenings. The night Arian went missing, the show „Sandmännchen“ featured a cowboy and his motorboat, similar to those in the Bremervörde harbor. Could this have influenced Arian’s actions?
