Ratingen 04/19’s Reinforced Squad Secures 4-1 Victory against SC West

In a commanding display, Ratingen 04/19 showcased their strength against SC Düsseldorf-West, emerging victorious with a 4-1 scoreline. With seven Oberliga players in the starting lineup, Ratingen 04/19 II took on SC West in a Bezirksliga home game and delivered an impressive performance as expected under these circumstances.

The 4-1 (1-0) win marks the third consecutive victory for Ratingen 04/19 II in their third home game, solidifying their position in the midfield of the league standings. Head coach Georg Hanna explained the decision to field a reinforced lineup, stating, „Our reserve squad consists solely of young players whom we aim to nurture. This can only be achieved by pairing them with strong footballers who can provide guidance and support their development while gaining valuable playing time.“

The strategic rotation within the squad not only enhances the players‘ skills but also boosts team morale, as affirmed by Sporting Director Tobias Krampe, who assured, „There are no issues within the team regarding this approach. All players, as well as the staff, are on board and enthusiastic about the opportunity it presents.“

Looking ahead, the reserve team will face HSV Langenfeld in their next match, while the Oberliga squad will play in Meerbusch, presenting a logistical challenge for RSV to maintain this dual focus. Despite the scheduling complexities, the club remains committed to fostering talent and nurturing the growth of its players across both teams.

A standout performer in the match against SC Düsseldorf-West was goalkeeper Dennis Raschka, whose experience and prowess were instrumental in thwarting six goal attempts, a feat that few Bezirksliga keepers can match. Despite Raschka’s stellar performance, young talent Ali Karabiyik found himself on the bench, with Hanna emphasizing the importance of gradual integration for the A-Jugend graduate.

The opening goal was netted by Ilyas Völpel from the Oberliga squad, capitalizing on a well-placed cross to put Ratingen 04/19 ahead. However, SC West posed a threat with their counterattacks, testing Raschka’s reflexes on multiple occasions. The lead was extended to 2-0 through a penalty converted by captain Ali Aktag, following a foul on Mykyta Kildiiarov.

SC West managed to pull one back with a successful penalty kick, courtesy of Len Brammertz, narrowing the deficit. Nevertheless, Ratingen 04/19 sealed the victory with Aktag’s second goal, assisted by substitute Max Kohmann, effectively putting the game out of reach. Kohmann further showcased his skills with a goal of his own in the closing stages, highlighting his versatility and impact off the bench.

Consistency in defense was exemplified by Paul Berger, whose steady presence in the backline contributed to the team’s solid performance. The 19-year-old talent continues to impress, leaving spectators eager to witness his development and growth in the seasons to come.

Overall, Ratingen 04/19’s reinforced squad demonstrated their depth and resilience in securing a convincing victory against SC West. With a strategic approach to team management and player development, the club sets a promising trajectory for continued success on the field.
