The police are searching for Maria, a 90-year-old woman who has gone missing from a nursing home in Nördlingen, Bavaria. Maria Welchner was last seen on Tuesday at 4 pm at the Bürgerheim nursing home on Eugene-Shoemaker-Platz 2. She is described as being approximately 1.56m tall, weighing around 64kg, with short white hair, and possibly wearing a beige jacket. Maria uses a walker and is said to be confused and dependent on medication.
Authorities, including police and firefighters, are conducting extensive search efforts in and around Nördlingen, with a police helicopter and search dogs deployed. The latest sighting of Maria was reported at a gas station on a northern road towards Löpsingen between 2 and 3 am this morning.
