Kommunalwahl 2024 in Jerichower Land: AfD emerges as the strongest force in the district council
In the district of Jerichower Land, the district council was newly elected as part of the municipal elections on June 9, 2024. The polling stations were open from 8 am to 6 pm, and the counting of votes began afterwards. According to the preliminary final results, the AfD emerged as the strongest force with 28.8 percent, followed by the CDU with 27.7 percent. The SPD came in third place with 14.1 percent. The Left Party received 6.5 percent of the votes, the voter community Fläming 5.6 percent, the FWG-J 4.7 percent, and the FDP 4.6 percent. The voter turnout is reported to be 63.6 percent.
