Impact of Flooding: Waste must be registered at the MVA Ingolstadt
The recent flooding has caused significant damage, leading to a high volume of waste that needs to be disposed of. Due to the large amount of flood waste, it exceeds the incineration capacity of the MVA Ingolstadt. As a result, coordinated delivery of this waste, in consultation with the affected districts, is necessary. The city announced this on Sunday.
Unauthorized deliveries by private waste disposal companies must be rejected to ensure the disposal security of municipal waste, as stated in the announcement. Citizens are explicitly asked to only schedule appointments for private deliveries of flood waste to the MVA. The MVA requests understanding that the recycling centers should not be overwhelmed with additional deliveries of other bulky waste. A coordinated process is urgently needed to prevent further overload and even a shutdown of the MVA.
The flood waste may contain flammable liquids and gas cylinders that can cause major disruptions. Additionally, it is noted that flood waste can occasionally self-ignite. The MVA asks for understanding for this procedure, as it is now necessary to assist the affected municipalities, communities, districts, and citizens.
Registration of flood waste can be done online through the website www.mva-Ingolstadt.de or by phone at (0841) 3780.
