ADAC GT Masters: Sandro Holzem penalized for speeding violation – gt-place.com

In a shocking turn of events at the ADAC GT Masters in Zandvoort, Land-Motorsport driver Sandro Holzem has been penalized for reaching a speed of 241.6 km/h during a Full Course Yellow phase.

During the second training session of the ADAC GT Masters, Sandro Holzem, a former DTM driver, was caught committing a significant speeding violation while the track was under a Full Course Yellow phase. He was clocked at a staggering 241.6 km/h in his Audi, while the allowed speed during the neutralization phase is only 80 km/h to ensure the safe retrieval of stranded vehicles by track marshals. This means that the Audi driver was exceeding the speed limit by 161.6 km/h.

As a consequence of this violation, the Holzem brothers, Juliano and Sandro, will have to start the first race of the ADAC GT Masters at the Dutch North Sea coast from the pit lane.

Furthermore, Holzem faces exclusion from one ADAC GT Masters race weekend this year if he is found to exceed speed limits in relation to flag signals again.
