The 14th season of „The Voice of Germany“ 2024 has begun this year on September 26, 2024, airing on Sat.1 and ProSieben. Talents are once again vying to impress both the judges and the audience for the fourteenth time. However, there has been a major shakeup in the jury for the new season, as none of the coaches from the 13th season are returning, a rare occurrence in the show’s history. Last year, Giovanni Zarrella, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Ronan Keating, and Shirin David sat in front of the red buzzers.

Fans of the show will not be disappointed as three out of the four new jury members have previously taken a seat in the red chair, with two of them having won the show and coached their talents to victory. Let’s take a closer look at the new judges for „The Voice of Germany 2024.“

Samu Haber is making a comeback to the red chair after his farewell tour with Sunrise Avenue in 2022 and the start of his solo career. Fans of the show will recognize the musician, who has been a coach five times before in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2020. With the 14th season, the Finnish artist embarks on his sixth stint as a coach on the show, having emerged as a winner twice, once alongside Rea Garvey. In 2024, he aims to lead one of the talents to victory for the third time.

Born in Helsinki in April 1976, Haber has made a name for himself worldwide with his distinctive voice and memorable songs. His musical journey began at a young age, and after a four-year hiatus in sunny Spain, he achieved great success with his band. Some of Sunrise Avenue’s most famous songs include „Fairytale Gone Bad,“ „Hollywood Hills,“ and „Lifesaver.“

Living by the principles of „Do what you love,“ „Work hard,“ „Enjoy life,“ and „Risk mistakes,“ Haber not only focuses on his music career but also engages in social activities. He once auctioned one of his guitars at a meet & greet for over 10,000 euros, benefiting a children’s hospital in Helsinki.

Mark Forster has returned to the „TVOG“ jury after a year’s hiatus, having emerged victorious in the previous season. Over the years, he has been an integral part of the show, coaching talented individuals musically. This year marks his seventh time buzzing for the contestants. His coaching career began in 2015 on „The Voice Kids“ before joining „The Voice of Germany“ in 2017, where he remained for five consecutive seasons.

Born in Kaiserslautern in 1983, Forster, whose real name is Ćwiertnia, comes from Polish parents, allowing him to speak the language. His love for music began early and was supported by piano lessons. Despite initially studying law and later completing a degree in business administration, he chose a career as a musician after a pilgrimage, which proved to be successful.

Yvonne Catterfeld, who coached talents from 2016 to 2018 on „The Voice of Germany“ and in 2019 on „The Voice Senior,“ is making a comeback to the show for the fourth time. Besides her music career, Catterfeld has also worked in the film and television industry. Following initial unsuccessful single releases, she turned to acting and became a member of the GZSZ cast at RTL for two years. Her musical breakthrough came in 2003 with the single „Für dich,“ topping the charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Born in Erfurt in December 1979, Catterfeld’s musical talent stems from extensive training in piano, guitar, singing, and dancing. After graduating, she studied jazz and pop music and began passing on her skills to her own music students. Her personal life includes living in Berlin, owning a houseboat that she rents out, and having a son.

Tim Kamrad, known as „Kamrad,“ is the newest addition to the coaching panel on „The Voice of Germany“ 2024, being the youngest member and the only singer to join as a coach for the first time. He was born in Wuppertal in 1997 and grew up in Langenberg. Kamrad has been passionate about music since childhood, starting to play the guitar at the age of five. Despite achieving a perfect score in his high school diploma in 2016, he chose to pursue a music career instead of completing a business engineering degree, supported by his parents who took out a loan.

Kamrad’s investment seems to be paying off, as he opened for Lions Head and ABC in the winter of 2016 and released his debut single „Changes“ in February 2017, earning the title of „Newcomer of the Month“ by N-Joy. His breakthrough came in 2022 with the single „I Believe,“ followed by „Feel Alive“ in 2023, bringing him chart success and international recognition. Now, he steps into the jury of a TV show for the first time.
