„The success of the premiere of ‚Nord bei Nordost‘ is excellent: With 5.92 million viewers and a market share of 23 percent on Das Erste, we are very satisfied and are already in the process of developing another episode with Holger Karsten Schmidt,“ the channel and Degeto announced. „The investigators Cordelia Wege, David Bredin, and Franz Dinda can look forward to new cases and the continuation of their romantic relationship in the beautiful Mecklenburg Lake District. What is „Nord bei Nordost“?
The new crime series, now turning into a series, is designed as a mirror image of the hit series „Nord bei Nordwest.“ Like the sister format, the spin-off is also centered around a trio of investigators. In the fictional Schwanitz of „Nord bei Nordwest,“ viewers have been following the main characters through 25 cases: Does Hauke love Jule? Or Hannah? Or both?
In the equally fictional location of Westend, where „Nord bei Nordost“ is set, the dynamics are clear from the start: Here, investigator Nina Hagen (Cordelia Wege) wakes up next to her colleague Tim (David Bredin) one day and next to the second colleague Felix (Franz Dinda) the next morning.
