Dr. Filipa Wagner has quickly adapted to her new life in Mauritius. However, the tranquility is disrupted when two hotel guests collapse with mysterious organ failure. Chief physician Dr. Daniel Bucher manages to prevent the worst for the sick couple in the island clinic. Shortly after, head chef Rachel faints unconscious in the hotel kitchen. The suspicion of a highly contagious infection arises, prompting Filipa to immediately close the restaurant of the resort. This poses a catastrophe for Director Kulovits, especially as influential restaurant critic Andrea Richter is scheduled to visit. Not only does her sharp pen worry Kulovits, but also an old story and pressure from an old rival. Meanwhile, Filipa and Daniel fight for the lives of their patients, struggling to identify the source of the infection. A race against time begins for the two doctors to save the lives of the patients. In the process, they not only grow closer professionally.
