DJ Ötzi’s Rejection of „Traumschiff“ Captain Silbereisen: „I’d Rather Watch it on TV“

DJ Ötzi, also known as Gerhard Friedle, revealed in an interview with „DER WESTEN“ whether he would ever participate in the popular German TV show „Traumschiff.“

Known for his hit song „Anton aus Tirol,“ DJ Ötzi has been a staple in the German-speaking music scene for over 25 years. While he is gearing up for his „Mountain Mania“ tour, which kicks off in Cologne on November 8, 2024, the singer is also planning a unique concert experience with fellow artists like Mickie Krause and Florian Silbereisen. Together, they aim to bring the „Après Ski“ vibe to the lowlands, offering a show that feels like a mini vacation in the mountains.

When asked if he would consider joining Silbereisen on a cruise, DJ Ötzi jokingly responded that he would rather watch the „Traumschiff“ on TV. He expressed his preference for the mountains over the sea, indicating that he is more inclined towards alpine adventures.

Despite his decision not to join the „Traumschiff“ crew, DJ Ötzi had nothing but praise for his friend Florian Silbereisen, referring to him as a brother. He commended Silbereisen’s growth as a TV host and actor, highlighting his reliability and trustworthiness as a friend.

In a heartwarming display of friendship, DJ Ötzi, Florian Silbereisen, and Mickie Krause have teamed up as the trio „MFG“ and are set to perform at the „Schlagerbooom Open Air“ in Kitzbühel on June 8, 2024. Fans can catch their performance live on ARD at 8:15 pm.

With a busy schedule ahead and exciting collaborations on the horizon, DJ Ötzi continues to captivate audiences with his music and infectious energy, proving that his iconic status in the music industry is well-deserved.
