More than half of the episodes of „Agatha All Along“ have already aired. Recently, viewers learned the true identity of a central character that will be important for the rest of the series. Here is a trailer for the second half of the season.
In the series „Agatha All Along,“ Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) and her more or less voluntary coven are sent on the „Witches Road,“ where a challenge must be mastered in each episode. After the fourth episode, a big secret was revealed that had fans intrigued. This is also addressed in the midseason trailer, which is a mix of previously shown and new footage.
What was confirmed in the fifth episode of „Agatha All Along“?
In the fifth episode, it was revealed and confirmed that the character previously only referred to as Teen and played by Joe Locke (Heartstopper) is indeed a resurrected Billy Maximoff, also known as Billy Kaplan in the comics as Wiccan. After a seance held through a Ouija board that resulted in the return of Agatha’s mother and the death of Alice (Ali Ahn), Agatha ordered the Teen to follow her on the journey. However, the light flickered blue, and instead, the Teen took control of Lilia (Patti Lupone) and Jennifer (Sasheer Zamata) through a spell, throwing Agatha into the mud and eventually consuming her.
Agatha also mentioned that, after the ordeal, he had regained some of his power and how much he reminded her of his mother. Shortly after, he wore a crown suspiciously reminiscent of Scarlet Witch (Elisabeth Olsen), and viewers heard the hit song „You Should See Me in a Crown“ by pop star Billie Eilish. It is unclear what role Rio (Aubrey Plaza) plays in this situation, but she may be the key to getting the other coven members out of danger.
What else does the midseason trailer for „Agatha All Along“ reveal?
In the trailer, it is seen and heard that Wiccan is not seeking power. But what else is he after? Locke told Entertainment Weekly that the series is about to really take off now. „Now we know that (Teen) is also a witch and that he has the ability to hurt them. That’s why he is now the most powerful person on the path. How will this change the group dynamic, and how will the future of these relationships change?“
In the trailer, it appears that the day Billy Kaplan died and his family fled from Wanda’s witches is shown. Could this be the situation in which his body was taken over by Billy Maximoff? Viewers have already met him and his twin brother Tommy as younger versions in „WandaVision.“ Additionally, the preview shows Billy, Lilia, and Jen as some familiar Disney characters who are both heroes and villains. There may also be flashbacks to Agatha and Rio’s past in Salem. Currently, „Agatha All Along“ airs on Disney+ in Germany every Thursday.
