World of Warcraft is gearing up for its 20th-anniversary celebration with the biggest party Azeroth has ever seen. During this event, players will have the opportunity to earn multiple special mounts, adding to their collection of prized in-game possessions.
What to Expect at the WoW 20th Anniversary Event
In November and December 2024, World of Warcraft players can look forward to a plethora of new content, rewards, and activities as part of the anniversary festivities. Some of the highlights include:
– The return of Blackfathom Deeps as a raid instance for 10 to 15 characters, featuring eight main bosses and five side bosses.
– A party outside the Caverns of Time entrance, with various activities and mini-games for players to enjoy.
– Timewalking for classic WoW dungeons such as Deadmines, Zul’Farrak, Dire Maul (East and West wings), and Stratholme.
– Chromie’s Codex, allowing players to experience the opening of the Gates of Ahn’Qiraj in a modified form.
– New quests that involve assisting guests at the anniversary celebration.
– The resurgence of world bosses like Sha of Anger, Archavon, Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, Doomwalker, and Dragons of Nightmare, with adjusted loot tables.
– Engage in the „Korrak’s Revenge“ mode on the Alterac Valley battleground.
– Earn the T2 sets as updated transmog templates.
There is already plenty of rewarding loot available in WoW, including two 34-slot bags that can be found in the game.
Exciting Mounts to Acquire During the Anniversary Celebration
As part of the 20th-anniversary party in World of Warcraft, players will have the chance to acquire various new or returning mounts for their collection. Some of the mounts confirmed so far include:
– Enchanted Fey Dragon (from Wrath of the Lich King): Available for purchase from Merchant Reginald (Timewalking vendor).
– Amani War Bear (from Burning Crusade): Obtainable from Merchant Reginald (Timewalking vendor).
– Frayfeather Hippogryph (from Classic World of Warcraft): Obtainable from Merchant Reginald (Timewalking vendor).
– Coldflame Storm: A blue-flamed flying mount reminiscent of Al’ar’s Ashes, showcasing years of service to Azeroth.
– Core Hound Chain: Learn to ride the Core Hound by purchasing it for Bronze Dragonflight Commendations from the anniversary event.
– Stormpike Battle Charger (Alliance) / Frostwolf Snarler (Horde): Rewards for completing „Korrak’s Revenge.“
– Obsidian Worldbreaker: The dragon form of Deathwing returns as a mount for the 20th anniversary, available for purchase from Merchant Reginald (Timewalking vendor).
– Illidari Felstalker: Obtainable through luck from the Doomwalker or for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from the Timewalking vendor.
– Reigns of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent: Can drop from Sha of Anger with a bit of luck.
– Reigns of the Great Black War Mammoth: Obtainable by defeating Archavon during the anniversary event.
